Jewelry Care

  • Each piece is hand crafted with care and attention to ensure that it will last a lifetime. Similarly, care must be taken to avoid damage and keep your jewelry looking it's best.

  • Please do not bathe or swim in your jewelry, as even trace amounts of minerals and chlorine may damage soft or porous stones such as turquoise and opal, and cause silver to tarnish.

  • Don't forget to remove your piece before exercising or doing any activities that may cause a delicate component to snag, or a softer stone crack.

  • Do not bend or force cuffs. Instead, slide the narrow (pinky) side of the hand into the gap, pull the cuff down onto your wrist, and then turn the cuff into position

  • Jewelry polishing cloths, available online or in jewelry stores, contain gentle buffing compounds that will restore your piece to it's original shine. Do not submerge or use harsh chemicals.

  • Opals are delicate and require extra care. Welo opals are brittle porous and will absorb water readily. This can cause the stone to swell and crack. Avoid sudden temperature changes, as this may also damage your opal. Use only soft, compound-free cloths to clean.

  • White Buffalo, like all turquoise, is porous. Be sure to take extra care to avoid discolouration by storing your stone in a small cloth or ziplock bag, and avoid letting it rub up against anything that may transfer colour.
